Lowdown
You can't be serious. I'll give you The Small Hours since Holocaust was not the best band' date=' but Metallica completely slaughters Whiskey in the Jar and Turn the Page. And what business does Metallica have covering a grooving Sabbath tune? The swing Sabbra Cadabra like they're a cage of dead monkeys. Lars is no Bill Ward.[/quote'] Go for the throat. Hector Arcadius
For what is worth, just my humble opinions: 1. Metallica's cover on ''turn the page'' was hideous. The original is simply stunning as it is. A great song and a very emotional performance, capturing perfectly the essense of it. 2. I believe that SRV has played live the best possible ''Voodoo chile''. Yes, even better than Hendrix I can't believe that there are 3 pages of thread and noone has mentioned 3 of the greatest covers ever made, all by Guns and Roses: ''Since I don't have you'' ''Live & Let die'' ''Knocking on heaven's door'' Perhaps the greatest COVER band of all times... Just take a listen to the Spaghetti Incident. Goodnight!

Mr. Natural
Respectfully... I'm with you on this one, XDemonknight. Stevie Ray was great. His "Little Wing" is great, but Jimi's is THE best.
