Riverside
I can understand wanting to avoid double posts, but this seems a little silly: Why such a long time limiting the ability to post?

It gives members additional time to let common sense prevail before hitting the post button........ Especially when threads get a little heated[biggrin]
PMossberg
More likely, the "...can't post..." system is in place to prevent automated systems from registering "user ids" and posting spam to one or multiple threads. I see it all the time in another forum that I am in. A "new" member suddenly has the same "ad" posted to every open thread. You never see that here. And the time limit is the primary reason. Riverside
Oh well - not every post I make requires a "cool-down period", so I find it somewhat frustrating. Today, I ran into a 58 second delay. Phooey. If it has to do with bots and spams and cyber-doohickeys, well, oh well.
