Sam Bass - 2003 Richard Petty Limited Edition Les Paul

Hi folks,

 

Anyone have any info on the Sam Bass "Richard Petty" Les Pauls produced in 2003?

 

I know there were only 43 produced, all signed/numbered by Bass.

 

How they were sold? Or were they given away in contests?

If they were made available to the public, what was the MSRP?

Were any "given" to Petty himself?

 

And the tech specs...are these Standards? What pickups were used?

 

I've asked Gibson, but haven't gotten a response.

 

I've seen a couple for sale the past month, with the owners asking $4,500.
