DanvillRob
I have an old tube Dual Showman Reverb Amp. The reverb is a "spring reverb" and unless you're playing "Wipe Out", is just too "brassy" for my taste. I have a Danelectro Reverb pedal that I like MUCH better. It's by far "warmer" that the system in the amp. Bob

brundaddy
Electro-Harmonix has a small line of amazing reverb-equipped pedals: Holy Grail, Holy Stain, and a few others.
EVOL!
What kind of reverb do you want: Spring, hall, or plate? Digital or analogue? I am a spring reverb whore and if spring is what you want you have to go all the way. A tube unit like the one Fender makes will run you between $500 and $650. I got this beauty for under $300. It's not tube, but it does have a tank with real springs. Very tasty.
mr newhaven
to be honest i dont know much about reverb other than i love the sound of it! i prefer analog to digital...and i prefer vintage specs to modern... (i mean i have a damn apogee duet and i can interface with my mac...so why not get analog components that digitally hook up you know?) that box you have there looks greats...i bet it sounds awesome too! i have heard that the holy grail...etc...are all solid... which fender blocks are you talking about? i have only ever seen the Boss fender pedals (63 reverb i think?) id be interested in seeing some more pics or links if anyone has it? guitargreg1993
id recommend either the hardwire stereo reverb (which has a lexicon chip) or the boss FRV-1 which is a 63 fender spring reverb in a boss pedal :)

djroge1
I was searching for a reverb pedal a while back because the amps I build/play do not have reverb. I did not try all of these listed on this forum, but I tried a few. I ended up getting the Digitech Hard Wire RV-7 reverb. It does have Lexicon's reverb chip and Lexicon reverbs are very respected in the studio and ever stage. I like it. It has Spring, Large Hall, Small room, reverse, modulated, and plate reverb sounds and they are all clean and quiet. You can also adjust how wet the mix is and a sensitivity level. I'm still playing with it so I can't give the best critique right now.

Fender has a reissue of their '63 reverb but it's really pricey and it's not exactly just a pedal it has more tubes than an Epi Valve Junior amp. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-Vintage-Reissue-63-Reverb-Amp?sku=480553
