I have a les Paul (was a Gibson but has been parted out due to abuse and stupidity) anyway Im thinking of putting in some new pickups what are thoughts? it is an 85 standard (or was anyway). If it was a Gibson, it's still a Gibson, no matter what parts were switched. Post some pics and you'll get a better result. As far as modding or trying to return the guitar to original state, there are numerous threads, and Gibson has spec sheets, you just need to do your homework.
