When I purchased my guitar second hand some 15 years ago, it came with very good US made Jazz flatwound strings. I never looked back, as those strings are made for the 175 in my opinion. Sadly, those strings are not available anymore, however now I use Thomastik-Infeld JS112 Jazz Swing Flatwounds, and they are also exceedingly good.
