Jediism is a non-theistic new religious movement based upon the philosophies and teachings of the fictional Jedi in Star Wars.[112] This religion was shown to be the fourth largest in Britain through the 2001 Census, with 390,000 people declaring their religion as Jedi. Jediism also has a large presence in countries such as Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Worldwide, censuses have revealed over half a million believers of the Jedi Faith.

"Worldwide' date=' censuses have revealed over half a million believers of the Jedi Faith"

Well.. that's a half million people we don't have to worry about breeding.[/quote']

You assume they're all men, or all women. They'll be pumping out little Padawans by the Star Destroyer load before you know it.

I'll get worried when they start dating time by Luke Skywalker's name. Until then, I'll just assume it is comprised of folks who have chosen a different path, and hope it isn't a bunch of misguided fools who actually think they have or can attain force powers.

My wife has been to a science fiction folk club in her early twenties. Imagine bearded men with cardigan's, capos on the 4th fret singing not about the evils of the government, or injustices of the common man; but about Vader and Leah etc!!!!

Only in... the UK! [lol] [lol] [biggrin]

Half a million people?

Thinking about this for a minute' date=' it occurs to me that there are [i']way[/i] more idiots than that on the face of this earth.

Really not surprising.

Just watch TV, you'll see that many in no time.

And even MORE doing the watching... [biggrin]
