"1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard (No. 2) with a shaved down neck to match the profile on his #1; He added four push/pull pots to coil split the humbuckers as well as phase and series switches which were added under the pick guard after the breakup of Led Zeppelin."

taken from Jimmy Page's equipment from wikipedia.

my question is. HOW DO YOU PUT A DPDT, 4PDT OR ANY OTHER SWITCH UNDER A PICKGUARD?

is it even reachable? is it a good place to hide a switch so having one won't affect the guitar's look?

sorry if my question is a stupid question or a "duh" q, but just wondering.

thanks guys.
