Space Pup Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 I have not played a Mandocaster but they do look like fun. I would suggest you do a search on the Mandolin Cafe boards. I remember seeing them mentioned there before. You should be able to find a couple of folks there that have them. I have played an Epiphone Mandobird IV (four string version) it lacks a little "snap" having only four strings but it does allow you to use the same pedals as an electrci guitar. You can pretty get some nice sounds with a delay and a wha-wha added in. Something to keep in mind. The only place I've seen strings for and electric mandolin has been Musician's fridnd.
