tune-o-matic vs. ABR-1

I think you would just hear similar conflicts here [biggrin]

But to get the ball rolling - the Nashville has a wider range of adjustment, securely located saddles, larger bridge screws and is a more rigid design.

Oh, one more thing - it doesn't rattle and buzz.

You won't hear any rattle or buzzing if ya dancin with some high wattage into 4 by or 8 by 12's.

But if'n you gonna play coustic like ona curb by the lika store then your buzzy rattling bridge will add to the ambiance of the situmation...dig

Go for the stopbar. The Maestro, while nice looking & better for balance, robs sustain. I've A-B'd them in music stores several times, & found the stopbar sustains almost TWICE as long as the Maestro. I prefer the Nashville over the ABR; it is a more stable design & the posts are screwed into studs instead of wood. a better design IMHO than the ABR, & silly vintageness be damned; if it is a new guitar, it ain't vintage, so who cares--I'd rather have the newer, better design, & save vintage "vibe" for cosmetics only, like finish & bevels! Also IMHO, I don't think it makes any difference where the stopbar is adjusted. Tried that too;no difference.
