Johnny A Case

There are several manufactures on good quality after-market cases. You will spend a bit more to alot more depending on the manufactrurer and if you custom order. Start with calling Gibson customer service and ask if they have a matching case reference they can refer you to which may dave some time checking with different manufacturers...

Dennis..The only company making a case for the Johnny A that Gibson is aware of is TKL, and they only make the Lizard case..SKB etc, don't. Thats why I was asking. I don't want one of those horrendous Flight cases that weigh 50 lbs. Just a nice case for gigging around town..Thanks

Ok, than I'll guess it's safe to assume you already tried SKB and the other usual suspects too? Your only oter options are to either use what you have very carefully; Use what you have and buy a second OEM Johnny A case that you keep stored to have one for gigging and one kept away in mint condition; Or finally, locate someone who can build you a case that will fit your Johhny A. model where you can pick the materials used.

Obviously keeping the guitar protected from damage is a paramount goal, and a quality case is your best insurance. Just put into perspective what a repair could entail and the loss of value in your guitar or a repair from a mishap. At that point the cost of a good case becomes less of an issue when keeping these factors in mind. If it were me, I'd just by a spare OEM Johnny A. case.
