suburude63
It's not a 12-fret. ???????????????????????????? What? Who cares if its a 12 fret ?
zombiewuff
With the bridge placement of a 12 fret you might expect a somewhat deeper voice with greater projection. That is one sweet looking instrument, though. --

sfden1
Generally, the L-OO's were 14 frets, although some were 12. These are replica's of two 1934's that John had in the shop for repair, one being owned by Mary Flowers. There are some interesting stories about these, including that John used a stash of sitka that he had obtained from Gibson when it closed the Kalamazoo plant and moved production to Nashville. So, some pretty nicely aged wood and an appropriate choice for this guitar. Congratulations suburude, these are very cool guitars, and great sounding, your gonna love it. Is this the one that was listed at Dream Guitars? BY the way, I've found that mine seems to love Curt Mangan PB 12-54's. If you pm me your address, I'll send you a set to try out. Oh, by the way, at least on the early ones, John gave buyers a choice of neck profiles, either an exact replica of the original, which was fairly substantial, or his "standard", which has a more modern low profile feel and is a tad narrower. It will be interesting to see which this one comes with.

Including the legend L00 which I have played.I love Gibsons and own a couple but this guitar outshines "New" Gibsons talke on the L00 Well, this is a Gibson forum afterall. I've been to John's place and played some of this L00's. I was considering buying one as they're great guitars and John strikes me as a really good guy. Those little guitars are a fingerpickers delight. But everyone has their own preferences and I'm sure some folks would find examples from Gibson that they would prefer over Grevens and vice versa. Every guitar is different. Fortunately, most guitars sooner or later ends up with someone who feels that "it's the one" for them. The real magic is in the hands of the player, lord knows that I've got a long way to go in that department. Enjoy the new guitar. All the best, Guth

I also realise there are guitars out there allbiet to my taste that are better sounding than Gibsons. I also realise that as Mr. Segovia says below theres an a-- for every seat. Everything I say on this forum I understand completely is my humble oppinion.
