Strap Locks for an ES-335

Anyone have a recommendation for strap locks on an ES-335?

I use dunlops on an es-339 and a les paul. Love 'em.

Simple is best imo. I use rubber washers outside my strap and have for 45 yrs. without an accident. Those new plastic locks, a member here often mentions, work well also.

I have Schaller's on everything.

Dunlop or Schaller. Just be aware if you use schaller you'll have to use some superglue in the bottom hole to make it smaller, as Gibson uses a gigantic screw in the bottom, because when they finish the guitars they are hung upside down from a hook in the bottom.

 

Both have their own merits, though the schaller doesn't stick out as far, which can be a concern with the strap button behind the neck joint.

 

I have locks on ALL of my guitars. 6 have dunlop. 3 have schaller. My SGs both have schallers, my Heritage 535 (very very similar to an ES335) has schallers, my Hamer special, my 3 carvins, and my 2 carvin basses all have dunlops.

I use those leather loop strap locks on the butt of my guitars and basses, and thread the cord through the loop. For the upper strap button I use Schallers, but the 335 and SG stymie those due to the placement of the button. The idea of rubber washer sounds pretty good.
