forgotteng
I recently played a Les Paul Traditional Goldtop at Guitar Center. My understanding was there are only 100 of these made. They played and sounded great. I want one but want details. Does anyone know anything else about these?

bubba_leon
It's a Traditional Pro. Locking Grover tuners, Burstbucker 3 bridge pickup, 57 Classic neck, coil split, satin back and neck finish. And 60's slim profile neck.
NeoConMan
Just don't get too excited about the idea that only 100 were made. It's simply a combination of features that aren't available anywhere else at the moment. Once Guitar Center sells its little run, they may order a bunch more. Or Gibson will then offer it as a regular production model to the rest of the dealer network. They pull that stunt all the time. If it's cool and the price is right - grab it! Just beware of the legendary bait & switch tactics at Guitar Center and DO NOT use their credit program. If you've never purchased a guitar from them before, pay attention. cwness
I see it comes in Ebony also. I wonder if there were 100 of the Ebony's made also. That would make 200. CW
Shnate McDuanus
Lovely, lovely guitar. I know very little about it, but I just want to say that I dig your taste. Oh, and welcome to the forums, too.

bubba_leon
I've owned the Vintage Sunburst, since right around Memorial Day, and I absolutley love it. I don't use the coil splitting often, but it's a nice feature. The split neck pickup sounds cool withe the bridge in humbucker mode.
