lowb5str 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 "Reserve not met" means the seller wants more and the bidders haven't hit the amount yet. I could not tell about buckle rash from the clarity of the photos, could you? I'm betting on a $3500 reserve.
dem00n 736 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Yes. But ive meet so many who are willing to pay thousands for that guitar. I dont think the little buckle rash really matters right now.
Shaker 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 If you win it, be sure to tell us how it plays! (Even "reissue") Modernes do not come around too frequently.

Lowdown 1 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 Novelty value. That's all this reissue will ever be. Seriously fellas,if you did have the bikkies for this, would you rather - 1. Bid on this beautiful, buckle rashed Moderne REISSUE which only a couple of hundred were made(and why?mmm) OR 2. Buy a nice new butter scotch smelling(they do to me)Les Paul... So...what's it gonna be? I know what I'd be slapping my money down on.

[/quote']Reissues are the only Modernes that are going to be coming up. One sold locally for over $5000. I'm guessing at least that for the reserve, even if it isn't bid that high. Shaker 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 This is a wishful thinking but it would be great if somebody discovered a real Moderne tucked away in an attic / basement.
