dead neck pickup 333

Hey guys. I'm new here, but been a gibson player for 40 years. Just got a very sweet little 333 off ebay. Paid $931. Got her home cleaned 'er up, adjusted the neck using the trussrod, and left just a little bow. Basic action setup and plugged it in. Dead neck pickup. I was going to solder in a classic '57 anyways, but can anyone tell me how to check the pot/pickup to pinpoint the problem? Thanks guys, I really appreciate any help. Robert

Answered my own question. Soldered in a '57 classic. Plays great. This is the one I'll keep. I've almost got it set up like I want. That'll take a few days. The neck is very straight side to side(fretboard). Maybe a little tiny twist pegheadwise. So slight it's hardly noticeable. That's OK. I'm writing songs in my dreams again. That's a good sign. Just wish I could remember all the changes. Yes. A good guitar is a blessing. Robert
