Andre S
I talked to the store about their repair services. Good: It can be fixed (duh) It only takes a day Bad: Their techie is at Namm and won't be back till the 30th They are moving to a slightly more inaccessible location to me. Depending on my schedule, it should be ready by the 20th of Feb.... I may try again to fx it before that.
cwness
OK 1319 I put a mod Vol. and Tone setup I got from one of my students in one of my LP's. I had never done it before. Preparation is key. Got all the wiring diagrams I could find. The SD site had the best. Then I studied the way it came from the factory so I new where the wires were originally. This in case I wanted to put it back the way it came. I also read to watch the heat and not over heat the pots. Well it has to get hot enough to melt the solder and not ruin the pot. What I did was put the solder gun on the pot and the solder right beside it so I would know when both were hot enough It went together like clock work because I new in advance what steps I was going to take. Good Luck CW

Good Luck CW You haven't seen my last two threads? I already did the mod, and there was no output, only feedback. I took it to a shop today, so that their techie could take a look at it. retrosurfer1959
try taking some closeups of the wiring in good light maybe we can help you figure out what went wrong?
Blackie
Draw out a schematic diagram of what you have and post it here so we can go over it. I have all the wiring out of an Epi SG right now......it should be similar except for the toggle switch in yours is in a different location but should be wired the same. Andre S
Thanks for the offers guys, but I don't think it makes sense. I made the original schematic long before I tried anything. I checked and rechecked everything 5 times, its the exact same. Besides, I'd rather not do anything again, at least my way pots etc are salvageable. I'll have her back working in a month... At least I have my acoustic.
Blackie
If it was the exact same it would be working would it not........
Shnate McDuanus
I say that now is a good time to buy a new electric so you don't have to be without one while you wait. ...But hey, there's never a bad time to buy a new guitar, now is there?
