Tim Plains
Just a heads up. I was at GC in Buffalo, today and they have a few things on sale. Vox AC4 combo amp for $170 (I think that's a good deal. They're $300 here in Canada.) and American Strats for $1,000. There were other sales, too, but I can't remember. Laaz
GC sale ? That just means you'll be able to get your gear for the same price the mom & pop shops sell it for every day.
Cruznolfart
GC sale ? That just means you'll be able to get your gear for the same price the mom & pop shops sell it for every day. Perhaps. Assuming your M&P has the inventory in the first place. Ours seems to be bent on slow suicide.
charlie brown
GC sale ? That just means you'll be able to get your gear for the same price the mom & pop shops sell it for every day. LOL...Amen! My local "family owned" dealership sells one high end Gibson' date=' for 1000 dollars less, than GC or MF. It's their [i']normal[/i] price, including their (fair) mark up...above their cost. In all fairness, to GC, MF, and other Big Box stores, some of that same dealer's merch...is, at or near the Box stores. But, in a LOT of cases, they are substantially lower, everyday. Basshole
My local Guitar Shop has some nice instruments in stock and some lower end instruments. Whatever they don't have in stock they can usually get in no time at all, They set it up and get it in playing shape. They treat me well. They can match GC prices on everything except guitar strings. They also know a lot more about Guitars and Amps too then you GC Guitar "Specialist".

So what do you think of the Buffalo GC, other than their sales?

How I wish my local store would have a Vox amp... heck... a functioning amp would be a huge step forward. Perhaps a Strat? A Les Paul is completely out of the question... He does have a couple of Deans.... 3/4 size guitars. Had whole wall full of these : /chuckle I'm just saying... places like Sam Ash' date=' Guitar Center and now Best Buy can be a real Godsend for some folks
Laaz
Perhaps. Assuming your M&P has the inventory in the first place. Ours seems to be bent on slow suicide. Last time I was in our local GC their Gibson inventory was a joke. They had 1 Les Paul custom in stock and maybe 3 Standards. They had a A$$ load of the low end stuff & Epi's... On the other hand the M&P shop had two customs & about 5 or 6 Standards, a Explorer & V plus a bunch of Acoustics's. The Gibson Custom Shop Trailer was here a month or two ago & went to the M&P shop, not GC.
