Witmer
here's something I wrote with a friend, who does the singing... it's a preliminary home recording, and I did all the mixing, so I'll take input on everything, not just my guitar work. http://witmerandanastasi.com EDIT: I'm particularly dissatisfied with the lead in the coda... not sure if there's too much grit in the effect, or if my intonation is actually off. - Or if I'm just obsessing. I'm also contemplating bringing the over-driven rhythm part up in volume for that ending part... would that support things better?
Lowdown
Great stuff mate. I like. Keep it up. I hate giving advice on other peoples songs though you did ask,but the one thing that could do with making your song stand out is the drummer. Get him to open up his hats when the chorus kicks in and throw in some fills/accents. Does anyone do harmonies/back up vox-they will help heaps. Witmer
Thanks, Lowdown. My 'drummer' for recording is Apple Garageband Loops, so I'll see if I can't find something to liven things up. No one else sings very well... but maybe our vox guy could write a harmony line for the recording, even if he can't sing both live... Good stuff to think about. Thanks!
