GuitarDennis Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Can someone tell me what td and tdc stand for? I know that claptons 335 from '64 had tdc.
spitball Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Thinline Dual-pickup Cherry finish TDN is for natural finish, TD is for sunburst I guess they stopped using those codes with the DOT reissues in the early 80's...or do they still say TD these days?
GuitarDennis Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 I don't think so, i only saw the codes on old guitars. But i don't know for sure.
GuitarDennis Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 I also saw that claptons original es-335 from '64 had the word 'custom' on the truss rod cover, but i don't see that on the es-335 '63 block histroric (http://www.gibsoncustom.com/flash/products/es/335Block/63ES335Block.html) Doe s anyone know why that is missing?
