Bluesman1989
Posted this in a different forum and got no response so figured i would try here... I dont know if its a common occurance in all LP guitars, but i find that when rolling the volume back there is quite a significant loss of tone. I also struggle to clean up using only the volume and have to further reduce the tone... Ive noticed this doesnt happen with SG's and ES guitars so maybe switch the electrics from one of those? tazzboy
I would try 50's wiring or Treble bleed cap.
80LPC
Move the capacitor to the wiper (centre connection of the volume pot). http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/tonefreaks/558-wiring-library.html The mod to the tone pot is not necessary to get '50s style operation. One point worth mentioning is that with a digital amp or preamp, the sound will not clean up like a valve / tube amp when rolling off the volume
