The Traditional Club

Hi

First of all I am a newbie here so Hi I have also ordered a Gibson Traditional should be here tomorrow hope it sounds good and does not need to much setting up apart from the normal string height intonation and pichup adjustments I have ordered a Chicago blue one with a plus top have not seen one on here yet but will take a picture and post it next week. Unfortunatly I live up in the highlands of Scotland and the nearest Gibson dealer is over 200 miles away I prefer to try the guitar out but due to distance this is not an option.

bdubbs look like you have got yourself a Traditional Pro if it has coil tapped 57's

Cheers

Wow,Bob!That blue flame finish is quite the looker.Btw,do you know how much your LP weighs?

Ed

Hi Ed

Thanks well I have no fishermans scales to measure the weight but the bathroom scales say 8.5 pounds but I don't know how accurate they are the wife says they overestimate her weight [rolleyes] . Was very pleased with the set up and love the sound of the 57's on low gain they sound like the tone out of the Beano Album,Cream Duane or there abouts I am going to a bandpractice tonight they do not know I have this guitar and will be able to crank it through my big amp and see what the reaction is.

That's just excellent! Of any of the burst finishes, I love the dark outline with a lighter brown/tan color on the inside allowing the wood grain to show through like your desert burst or a tobacco burst. [thumbup][thumbup][thumbup]

Congrates [thumbup] what fretboard does it have?

Looks like one of the newer 2012 models so may be double ply rosewood or something else...

Yes, it's a 2012. It said rosewood, so I assume the new double ply. It feels just like the rosewood on my older SG's, I can't tell the difference between the double ply and the normal RW fretboard.

Very Nice! I just joined the LP club myself, this past Tuesday. I still love my SG's and Flying-V's but I am sold on my Traditional. It's the only guitar I've touched all week!
