kris82
Hey, does anybody have any idea which pickups are stock in a 1994 Les Paul Standard? It's a normal black model built in the centenarium year of the company (1994). On the back panel of the PU's says only "Gibson USA" nothing else. No number, no other info. Thank's guys, I can't find anything about this on the net. Kris

kris82
I thought the 490/498 were only used in Studios and Customs... But if you say so
cwness
They used the 490 & 498 pups in the Standard also in the 90's. I believe the switch to the Burstbuckers 1&2 was in 2000 or shortly after. CW
CajunBlues
I thought the 490/498 were only used in Studios and Customs... But if you say so The ES-137 also... The customs are still using them according to the Gibson Web site... I think that says something of their quality if Gibson is willing to stick them into a LP custom... I have them in my 99 custom and I would never change them... Then again the wood they use for a custom may be the real reason behind it's incredible tone..
