No Engraving on Traditional Pro's?

Recommended Posts

Well, speaking as a Gibson newbie, it seems to me that there are so many Gibson LP models in the current lineup that little details like truss rod covers may get lost in the shuffle... I can't believe the production cost can amount to more than $2 or $3. I expect I'll order a truss rod cover with 'Traditional' on it (do standard LPs have 'Standard' on the truss rod cover?).

I think Gibson left out the TRC blank Traditional Pro because it's a MF/GC exclusive. My trad pro came with the "classic" TRC, as did the first run of all Trad Pro's

Gibson has been known to use up left over parts to make "new" models Ie LP Deluxe mini humbuckers from Epiphone.

Yes the Standards do have "Standard" on the truss rod cover.

The TRC on my Standard +AAA top is blank. I doubt that there is any formula to TRC at Gibson USA.

Seems to me there is an element of randomness as to whether the TRC actually says anything on it or not.
