Favorite musician (not necessarily guitarist)

It's very, very hard to say. I suppose it changes, but right now it's Benny Goodman, the clarinetist.

That little fill at around 0:10 is exemplary of Goodman's style--tasteful, smooth, and perfectly in context with the song. I'm always blown away by his playing.

1955 Goldberg Variations was brilliant' date= no doubt, but the 1981...not so much.

 

Besides, this being the Gibson Forum-I don't think he was all that much for jamming.[cool]

My vote is for Glenn Kotche. Most musical drummer out there now.
