What evol said. Those things are collector's pieces or investments, not players - especially the run of 25 that are signed.

I think when **** Dale comes around again I'm going to get him to sign the back of the headstock of my Strat. Nothing special about that guitar (value wise) except that I love the thing and it'd be cool to have his sig on the back to look at while playing so I say to myself, "Oh... right!"

I've always considered anything over $2' date='000 to be rediikulous.[/quote']

Speaking from personal experience, I don't own a guitar that went for any more than $700 street price.

I suppose that $2,000 is kind of a lot of money for a guitar, but realistically I can definitely imagine a few instances where an expense over that would be appropriate...not for my lifestyle, however. Certainly not.

I would spend 5K tops on a guitar. Not a cent more.

And that would be a perfect guitar, and even then I would try lots of guitars under that price first and then buy the 5K guitar.

Right now for me 2500ish is a good figure, above it, it's not likely I would pay for the thing.
