Thanks to everyone who helped me try to find a green les paul.

Well last night after a horrible day at work, i come home to find a 2000 Gibson Studio in Green on CL.

I called the guy, and today i picked it up.

The guitar and case for 500 bucks.

The price might be a tad high, but i wanted the color.

:]

I don't know how to post pictures from my computer on here D:

If someone could help me, i would gladly post pictures.

You have a 2000 Les Paul Studio. The finish is pretty unpopular.

I believe the pickups are a 490r (rythm) and 498t (treble) assuming they're stock. These are a good set of pickups IMO.

I absolutely love the 490r in my SG. It has a nice full, round sound with a nice low end. With overdrive or distortion, it's very smooth and creamy (especially with the tone rolled back).

The 498t sounds good but I swapped mine out. I thought a different pickup could sound better and it did. It's a fine pickup though and I could totally live with it.

How's the guitar? Looks a little beat up. $500 is a fair price.

Thank you very much!!

I LOVE the color, one of the reasons i bought it. It is beat up, was gigged with a lot. Multiple knicks, and its got a bit of arm wear on the top. Headstock has a knick on it. But honestly, i couldn't pass this offer up, green is my favorite color, and i would not settle for any other color.

So it was worth it to me :]

Amazing Forum, btw.

Great guys, i come from "Strat Talk" forum, and i found this an easy transition.

I agree' date=' you got a sweet deal on that Lester. The top looks like it may be birdseye maple. Can you post some more pics?[/quote']

I'd just like to add my congrats for a great find!

I like the rarity aspect of the finish.

Studio's are highly regarded instruments 'round these parts.

At $500 with case it's a bargain.

I do have a question, not sure if you can see the case very well in the picture, but it is the original case with pinkish/purple lining.

This case has a 3 digit combo lock.

Is there anyway to reset the combo?

Because i don't know the combo, nor did the previous owner =(

If not, i will have to remove the lock because if i accidentally hit that on something and lock it, i will be FURIOUS >_<

Thanks.

btw the guitar, plays amazingly. Just a few minor defects, as in cracked pickguard, but i took that off and may replace it someday.
