GibSinCity
Has anyone seen ever seen white age like this on a 25 year old guitar? The guy says the former owner was a smoker, and the thing was gigged but.... Ugly? or MOJO? http://cgi.ebay.com/1985-GIBSON-SG-EDS-1275-DOUBLE-NECK-VINTAGE-WHITE_W0QQitemZ360248863647QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item53e0816b9f
NeoConMan
I dunno, I've never seen white paint yellow that much... That guy sells a lot of nice gear on Ebay, and has 100% feedback. I've seen many of the pieces he's offered and never really suspected fakery. That being said, I wouldn't buy that one without seeing it in person. Probably hit it with a little Windex and a soft cloth to see if any of the "color" came off. Almost looks like somebody was trying to do a home-made relic job. It's a shame how many amateur Tom Murphy wannabes are ruining guitars now....
weldfish
I have seen that type of yellowing before. It was caused by long term exposure to cigarette smoke. Chances are it will wash right off.
mildperv
A lot of that will come off with naptha. Should be a nice even cream underneath.

Rewddawg1
I agree with the others. Cigarette smoke is the #1 enemy to a white finish guitar. Whether you are a smoker or if you play in clubs that allow smoking this will happen and relatively quick. A good cleaner and polish will take care of most if not all the excessive yellowing. Virtuoso cleaner/polish has done wonders for nitro finish guitars.
Nick Beach
I am so into that. I LOVE the way it looks right now.
