ledzep59 Posted April 13, 2010 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Well it has a "custom shop" certificate (which looks like an awful photocopy) and a Gibson USA case, which doesn't add up. Not to mention shape of body and the "open book" curve at the top of the headstock. Also price. If it is ridiculously cheap, there is a reason for it. Johnny 6 String Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 Shape of the headstock is wrong, truss rod cover doesn't look right, if its supposed to be a standard it should have trap inlays rather than block and won't have the split diamond inlay on the head stock, if its supposed to be a custom it should have an ebony finger board not rosewood. slimt Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 One thing that should be on that that is Not on a True LP Custom.. is a neck to headstock graft.. quite simular to the Epiphone..they all have that.. . the headstock is narrow.. the Binding is way to thick.. and the logo is white on those... and the tuners are crap.. I know a guy up here that has bought many of those in different models.. ... there hung on his wall of shame.. we took one apart and Noticed that the pickups were Epiphone ...
