Very nice! Not worth $2k to me personally though. Seems a bit high for a used guitar that I think was designed for the lower end of the market.

What does the seller mean by "total sleeper guitar?" :-k[confused]

"Sleeper" -Maybe kinda like when you see a car that looks stock, but it has something special going on under the hood.

Only you don't find that out untill you're looking at it's tail lights.

Looks can be deceiving.

Web Definition:

An unexpected achiever of success; "The winner was a true sleeper--no one expected him to get win".

I would read "sleeper" in the collector's sense, because with the language the seller used and the price level, it seems it is valued by the seller as something that was underpriced, undervalued, and expected to escalate in value. This is all within an ebay-er's rights as a seller to proclaim their goods' evaluation to be whatever they think the marker will bear. The potential buyer must determine how much of the seller's words add value to the object and how much just add sizzle. YMMV.

Yeah, I hate the Clapton cut too. I know it wasn't an original design but the fact that it went into a limited production makes me sad. To each his own I guess.

I believe the set neck version of the Corvus was also known as the Futura. Confusing, I know. And I think the Coruses were referred to as II, or III to denote additional pups. (III had 3 single coils)
