1993 Flying V '67 RI?

So I bought this guitar a few years ago at Guitar Center, used, for $700. Now I am reading that it is just as valuable if not slightly more valuable now.. I have been trying to sell it (cheap($460) at that) and no one wants to buy it, so I'm trying to figure out if I should ebay it, (how much, if so, should I sell it for) or just hang on to it. I love it, but I need the money and I hardly ever play it. In fact, even buying it used, the frets aren't even broke in and on the low-strings/high frets, they look like they've BARELY been played!!

Anyway.. Does anyone on here know any specifics of this guitar? Is there any reason it is more valuable than others? (I read that the pickup combo is ONLY on the 1993 V, and the 74? Explorer. Is this true? Isn't that kind of a big deal?)

That's what I thought when I bought it.. Nothing special.. Did they install the 496R/500T combo on most other model year 67 RI's? I found this on a website, granted, it is a user-submitted bit of info:

"Pickups on the '93 V are 496R ceramic magnet humbucker on the bridge and 500T ceramic magnet humbucker on the neck position. They are not similar to other Gibson's models' humbuckers, only '76 Explorer has the same setup. First V's had PAF's, but these 496R+500T have a different sound. "

Is this true?

That's why I came here. I figure you guys know your stuff and can help me out..
