LPguitarman Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I believe Slash has his own specific neck profile. I'm not sure what it is closest to. Someone that has a Slash LP may be able to answer you.
rockstar232007 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 The AFD (Slash) LPs have a '60s slim-taper neck. Not as thin as a Classic, but not even close to the '59 profile of the "worn" Studios (Vintage Mahogany).
LPguitarman Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 The 60's slim taper neck profile is very comfortable. I have one on my Classic Antique.
Signature Slash Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I have not played the new Appetite. However, I own an '08 Standard Plus-Top and an '08 Classic Gold-Top Signature Slash Les Paul. Both Les Pauls feature the "Slash Profile" neck, (you're RIGHT LPguitarman :-). IMO a lot of the "Slash Profile" is relative to the "width" of the rosewood fretboard. It feels "w-i-d-e" when compared to my '95 Les Paul with "rounded 50's" profile. Slighty less "chunky" as well.
