Josh James Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I want to put a chorus or flange at the end of my board for rounding out clean tones. Any suggestions? I have heard the Electric Mistress is a really versatile for both of these. Thanks J
Twiz Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I have a Stereo Electric Mistress (the one in the smaller chassis), and I love it. It's cool because you can control the amount of chorus and flange separately, so there are a lot of possibilities for sounds. There are some pretty good demos here.
FirstMeasure Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus. Very wet sounding, and full. I find the Treble and Bass adjustments very usable and the Bass Filter comes in pretty handy.
Nick Beach Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I've got the EVH Flanger. I really like it. If your in the market for a flanger, nothing else I've tried will beat it.
deepblue Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I have a Visual Sounds H20....Its chorus and delay. Used with a Leslie.....Bliss!
MojoRedFoot Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm a big fan of Boss pedals (back when I used pedals). I have the Line 6 POD XT live that I use on occasion. I really like the various chorus sounds from that thing.
MojoRedFoot Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 the X3 Live has even more options.... Indeed it does, I only use on my solid state amps which I have not plugged into since like November. I take that back. I was away from home and used it just with headphones.
LPguitarman Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I have a DOD Chorus & Flanger, they are both good. BOSS pedals are also good.
Josh James Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Thanks for all the suggestions! I have just finally after a day of messing with my board figuring out how I want them. I'm going LP-tuner-wah-ts-9-catalyst-deville 4x10. I use my amps drive channel for a light distortion and then I can solo boost with ts-9 or use my catalyst for a lil more nasty and boost with ts-9 to get real freaky naughty! The small mistress looks inticing....I tried the boss flange and rotary pedal today at GC, really dug the flange, not so much the roto pedal. Cheers, J
Corrosion of conformity Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I recommend the Electro Harmonix Small Clone chorus pedal.
Dub-T-123 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm a big fan of Electro Harmonix. I don't think I've ever really been disappointed by them. The Electric Mistress is cool. I have an old beat up BOSS ce-3 that actually sounds pretty awesome. I got it from my dad. I haven't used it in a long time because with my band I just plug straight into the amp. Maybe I'll use some effects when I get enough money to buy some really nice pedals. My vote goes for EHX! Nice pedal by the way Twiz!
