guitom Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I recently bought a '99 NL reissue and the saddle was replaced. It sounds great, but the bone replacement is a little ill fitting in my opion. I was wondering if anyone had an NL Reissue saddle they'd replaced that they'd like to get rid of. Long shot I'm sure.
KL Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Might be easier just to have one made by a luthier guitom. When you say 'ill fitting' what do you mean exactly? It will be an easy fix for a decent luthier to make you a saddle that both fits right and also sets the intonation right too.
suburude63 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 The "Famous" Bob Colossi ! Wiil make you one ! :-
guitom Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 You both have good advice. The saddle is a little short, which is just a cosmetic thing. Also, it does seem to sit exactly flat. Maybe it does where it counts, under the strings. I'll probably just have a new one made and see how that goes. Thanks!
