jimmiJAMM Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 When I was a kid there were tons of 'em! Here's a few of my personal favorites: Popeye Felix the Cat Casper the friendly Ghost The Magilla Gorilla show The Amazing Spiderman The Flintstones Scooby Doo The Wacky Races Speed Buggy Ricochet Rabbit Josie and the Pu$$ycats
jimmiJAMM Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 LOL! Nice one, Californiaman I read that joker made 3.25 million dollars last year.
RichCI Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I was a Saturday morning cartoons junkie when I was a kid. Scooby Doo, Hong Kong Phooey, Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse, Jabber Jaw, Bugs Bunny, Speed Buggy, Groovy Goolies, Josey and the Pussycats, Rocky and Bullwinkle, even the Sid & Marty Kroft stuff which wasn't really cartoons. These days, my favorites are Drawn Together and Family Guy which I have most of on DVD as well as Beavis and Butthead.
brundaddy Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Just to add to the good stuff above (not sure I'm a Glen Beck fan but whatever) I also like Ren & Stimpy. When I was a kid I loved Plastic Man & Captain Caveman. Space Ghost - featuring Brak - is great too.
jameslucascalvert Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 As far as the new stuff goes, it's the Venture Brothers all the way.
MojoRedFoot Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 South Park +999999999999999999999999999999999999 That's pretty much the only show I CANNOT miss. I watch adult swim stuff on cartoon network. I have 2 kids so I watch a lot of Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Failry Odd parents, etc. As a kid I watched Muppet Babies, Transformers, GI Joe, Heman, TMNT (the 80s version)
grampa Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 South Park Great stuff even though I mostly don't watch, but I see that they are caving on the making fun of Mohammed stuff. Too bad.
charlie brown Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The Roadrunner, and Bug's Bunny....actually any of the Warner Bros. Cartoons, of the day, and Rocky & Bullwinkle. CB
Bowdiddley Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Johnny Quest was cool when I was young, now it's King of the Hill
lespaulj45 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Augie Doggie and Doggy Daddy Heckle and Jeckyl Fractured Fairytales
NeoConMan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The Roadrunner' date=' and Bug's Bunny....actually any of the Warner Bros. Cartoons, of the day,and Rocky & Bullwinkle.[/quote'] I loved Muttley. Later, it was Ren & Stimpy. Beavis & Butthead.
jameslucascalvert Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 But really, the classics are Transformers, Voltron, He-Man, Dungeons and Dragons, Superman, Superfriends (even though it was bad) and Robotech. Saturday mornings used to rule. I feel bad for my kids, but I do like Phineas and Ferb, Kick Buttowski, and Kid vs. Kat.
saturn Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 When I was a kid it was Scooby Doo Where Are You? and the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show every Saturday morning. I love the music in those original Scooby Doo episodes. As an adult I have watched or still watch, Simpsons, Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, South Park, King of the Hill and Venture Brothers. I don't like Family Guy. Some of the ones my kids watched or watch, that I also liked were, Doug, Hey Arnold, Dextor's Lab, Johnny Bravo and of course Sponge Bob.
Izzy Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Aeon Flux...I like anime, I'm so ashamed. Also, old Bugs and Daffy. Metalocalypse, if you're a metal head this one is fun. Beavis and Butthead...there will always be a special spot in my heart for this one.
Artie Owl Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I loved Clone High, stupid angry groups of people complaining about portrayals of this person or that. I also love Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. If you haven't seen this show then I recommend youtubing some clips, specifically about the Character named Cheese. you will not regret it, probably.
Artie Owl Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I just noticed Izzy referenced Beavis and Butt Head, I totally agree, I picked up the Mike Judge collection offa Amazon for my Birthday. WASHING THE DOG WASHING THE DOG!
