BigKahune Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 ... Question are gibson tunning heads made with ( japan ) stamped on back?are tail piece not bridge stamped ( MADE IN GERMANY) ? Welcome. rockstar232007 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If you mean "back" as in the underside of the tuning machine? Then they could be after market (i.e. from AllParts). Same goes for the bridge as well. Pics would be a lot more helpful though.
NeoConMan Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Les Paul Classic Ser # 4 0482 = 1994 AAA Flame top Classic - 1994-1995 need info of when it was made year etc. Ceramic pickups 466R/500T. '60 Slim Taper neck. Body has Swiss Cheese holes drilled in it. Inlays may appear to be a bit greenish. Question are gibson tunning heads made with ( japan ) stamped on back? Not usually - I dunno. Do they appear to be original? are tail piece not bridge stamped ( MADE IN GERMANY) ? Schaller is in Germany, but they were not the sole supplier. It's easy to swap those parts out during a string change.
