Custom Shop CF-100e 2007 reissue serial#

I was told there is no headstock stamp of a serial number on a 2007 CF-100e reissue but that it came w/ a serial# on the QA checklist. It has a custom shop sticker just below the headstock on the back of the neck.

 

The serial# I was given is:

 

01407012

 

Is it legit?

Only Gibson can tell you whether it's legit; call 1-800-426-2636 on Monday and ask for LaVonne. She may be able to verify things for you.

 

On some guitars that have no serial number impressed into the headstock back, they sometimes stamp them on the neck block. But that would be easily seen.

 

The serial number you quote indicates a 2007 year of manufacture. 12th guitar to receive a number on the 140th day of that year.
