Shauno Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Good evening all, First of all, Hi everyone - first time here I have recently aquired a Gibson flying V from a relative (I'm stoked!), but I've noticed there are 3 fine tuners/tuning screws (unsure of their name?) missing from the bridge, and was wondering how easy these are to replace? are they something I could just find at my local music store? I am unsure of the specific flying V model but heres a link to a picture of what I'm trying to say. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7840/photo0242i.jpg Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers. Shaun
MojoRedFoot Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Try stewmac, guitarfetish or maybe even Warmoth. Maybe Kahler has a website where you can order parts. I didn't know those screws actually came all the way out. Luckily they are not essential. Best of luck to you. Now post pix of the whole guitar. It's a rule here.
Shauno Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 Thanks for the reply MojoRedFoot, I'll check those sites out and hope to find something. Heres a pic of the guitar, the photo quality isn't so good though. I must say after reading some of the "fake gibson" threads I'm a little concerned as I can't find a serial number on it as yet. It does have winglets on the headstock though (something I heard gibson does with most/all its guitars?) and the neck is glued to the body. Well anyway here's some pics and again sorry for the bad quality. As you can also tell it's only got the one EMG-85 pickup, I've just ordered a new 81 for the bridge. =) Thanks again! :(
MojoRedFoot Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 That doesn't look like any Gibson V I have ever seen but it is a cool looking V none the less.
