You can get Gibson branded Grovers with the chrome tulips on the Gibson website.

The tuners that come on your guitar are most likely Gibson branded tuners made by Grover.

The ones I recommended don't require any modifications. They have a single screw that goes into the back of the headstock as opposed to the two that are on the ones you have. This means that if you use the Gibson tuners with chrome tulips there will be a small hole that is exposed. This is really not a big deal and this would be the case with just about any tuner you choose to switch to.

Personally I love the green key tuners that came stock on my SG.

cool thanks ...yeah think i would do grovers if i was going to leave a hole......trying to keep fairly stock on this one but want to dress a little ........for as expensive as klusons are you would think they would carry a direct replacement with chrome buttons.....i think they are missing a niche.i dont think there are as many people hung up on the green keys as they think there is,looks like a odd contrasting peice of plastic to me,however i dig the kluson history with lp's ........dunno i may give up and just go grovers

If you want a chrome tulip you're gonna have to go single screw. If you want no a mod replacement that's as close to stock as possible, go with the Gibson/ Grover. Look at what I'm talking about on the Gibson site. I believe you'll find it under "accesories".
