Murph Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 And I'm pretty sure it's Jinders fault..... I don't know how he did it. But I'm pretty sure he did it......

Jinder Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 You can't go far wrong with any Gibson with wildlife on the pickguard-they're all great! I'm not sure if I should apologise or be pleased to have instigated 'Bird GAS ;-)
DanvillRob Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Jinder said...... "Bird Gas." Okay... I DEFINATELY have "Bird Gas"!!!
Jinder Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Hmm...the thought of "bird gas" just put me off my lunch!!
Gilliangirl Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Y'all owe me a keyboard, now that I've spit my morning coffee all over it :D [lol] [lol] [lol] [lol] I think 'bird gas' should be nominated for Best Guitar Term of 2010!
MimingMinds Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 check out the hummingbird pro at guitar center. to my ears, it sounded better than the two hummingbirds that were there and, IMHO, it looks classier with a toned down pickguard and beautiful dark sunburst finish. here's a clip for sample sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o81sYChV5SE
Hall Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Slaw, you might want to try and get your hands on a Custom Bird for just a minute if you can.
Murph Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 Slaw' date=' you might want to try and get your hands on a Custom Bird for just a minute if you can. [cool'] Man, the True Vintage is $3899.00. How much is a Custom? Myles, is that your 1963? What a beauty.....

eds111 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Myles, what did they do with those little nubs the binding when it got refretted? Did they keep them?
Dove Histronic Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Myles nice! What kind of tuners are they' date=' where did you get them?[/quote'] C'mon Myles, give up the info, they'd look good on my Dove... BTW, nice Stegasaurus skeleton in the photo, but you should have put it together with Hide Glue instead of those big bolt lookin' things...
albertjohn Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Jinder said...... "Bird Gas." A walk around the block should see her right. So if this was the Takamine Forum, we would be discussing a Taka Gas Attack?
DanvillRob Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 New frets' date=' bridge and tuners... [img']http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s124/myles1950/IMG_1916.jpg[/img] Gads..... makes my mouth water..... hopefully next year will be MY year for a HB.
MisterGibs Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I' ve been thinkin' these days about a mahogany back & sides guitar... I was thinking to buy some extra cheep Silver Creek all solid wood for some 200 USD... I shared the idea with my woman and she was so negative. Too bad for her. Now I have a real GAS. I want... No, now I NEED a Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird Black! And one day I'll have it! Yeah!

She must be a lucky girl.[/quote'] She likes the music. She doesn't like the rehearsals... And my 5 guitars (one under the bed and one in the coffer) are too much already. Have to think to sell some... The problem is that I never sold one ;-) But one day, ONE DAY I will have a Gibson Hummingbird Black for I deserve it. Dan, I never shared a guitar... Don't know how to do that - I am so jalouse ... How to share with someone on the other side of the planet? If you were next door - no problem. Would be even easier. Most of my guitars would be in your room for my woman stays quiet ;-)
