Jazzpunk Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Greetings! An ES 335 Block Inlay model that weighed in at 7-7.5lbs sold recently (missed the ad before it was sold!). I already own a 335 but I'd love to find one in the same weight range. Does anyone know if the Block Inlay 335's are generally the lightest of the newer 335's or is it just the luck of the draw? Are any of the newer models known for being lighter? Thanks in advance for any info.
spitball Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Wow, that is light. My '67 ES-335 probably weighs around 7.5 lbs, if not slightly less. I didn't think any of the newer ones were so light too.
Jazzpunk Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 Sounds sweet! If I could shave a pound off my guitar, I'd be a happy man.

I had an 11-pound Les Paul for a while. Oy...and it didn't sound all that great to me either. I think late 60's ES-335s may be light on average...but you need to like the narrow fretboard; not everyone's cup of tea.
