Murph Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Chris Thile is bad to the bone. He is now with the Punch Brothers. I saw them in Feb. and had him sign my 1933 Gibson A-00 mandolin. Here ya go, Fred......

retrosurfer1959 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Great song - great band - shame when they stopped playing.
Silenced Fred Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 They had some great stuff. Murph- that is awesome. He shreds on that mando, it is amazing
Murph Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Here's another shot of him digging my old '33. He knew who Scotty Stoneman was, and really liked liked my mandolin. I got it from Gruhns and showed him the appraisal, ect., he has the same paperwork for the Gibson mandolin (F) he played that night. He said I "stole it" and is just a heckuva nice guy, not to mention one of the greatest musicians breathing.... I also went to see Sara Watkins (the girl in Nickle Creek) a few weeks later and her brother Sean (the guitarist in NC) was playing with her, and was playing an old J45. Good music.....
