wayside Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I just picked up this incredible SJ-200. It's either 1948 or 49. It was an instrument that was passed down from a great uncle to his grand nephew and sat, virtually unplayed, for decades. It's one of the more stunning instruments I've come across and it's tone matches its appearance.
JimR56 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Wow. Congrats, wayside. Great model, great era, great specimen. Was it consigned somewhere, or did you actually get it straight from the previous owner?

L5Larry Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Hey Wayside, I've got the same tuning machines on my '47 L-7. If you ever figure out what they are and who made them, let me know. I'm not to far from needing to replace mine.

tvguit Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 What an incredible find! Did it come with the original case as well? It looks like the burst is a little strange at the top left of the back. Is that just the lighting? Congrats!
