Tim Plains Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I'm going to ask a silly question... Have you ever seen a guitar with only one side fret marker at the 12th fret?
swleary Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Well I'm going to answer your stupid question...yes I have seen it, it was on an Ibanez custom shop that I had a few years ago..I hated it the look of it...
Tim Plains Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Well, thanks guys (but not the wanker). I've never seen one before but one of my guitars has one at the 12th fret; so, I thought I'd ask.
Silenced Fred Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I have seen a guitar that only has fret markers at the twelfth, does that mean anything?
Murph Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I don't think I have Tim, but I do like the look of ebony boards with no markers, only side markers.
Silenced Fred Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I really dig the Gretsch thumbnail markers. cool stuff
Rocky4 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I've seen guitars that have a double dot marker at the seventh and twelfth fret.
TommyK Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 'Traditionally' classical guitars do not have markers of any kind. Occasionally, you will see them with side markers. A single one marking the octave?, that is as close to 'traditional' as you can get. I've never seen one, but it wouldn't surprise me.
TommyK Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Im afraid to ask...whos the wanker? lol something akin to offing one's jag. Here is an English to English translator: http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/ It's fairly complete so contains terms one is likely to hear in a bar room full of sailors in the bad part of town.

Im aware of what a wanker is....my parents were Irish. I want to know who.
zigzag Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I've been drunk and seen 4 dots on the twenty fourth fret. Hey, I'm not banned. Alright!
Blackie Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I've been drunk and seen 4 dots on the twenty fourth fret. Hey' date=' I'm not banned. Alright![/quote'] Nah you a made Man now.........welcome.............
NeoConMan Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I've been drunk and seen 4 dots on the twenty fourth fret. That would explain several of your posts here. Blackie could offer you some advice on that one.... Hey' date=' I'm not banned. Alright! [/quote']Keep trying. I'm sure you'll succeed. Oh, tell me something - what is your definition of domestic terrororism?
rockman82 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Well I haven't seen it. My grandma does have an gibson hummingbird copy that doesn't have side markers at all.
RRIDER Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Yes, In fact I have one. It's a 1964 Silvertone 1446.
