Artie Owl Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Here's an easy Saturday topic, think of one of your favorite bands/artists, and then think of the one song that makes you cringe/wish they had never recorded it. I haven't got one yet, but I've got a couple ideas rolling around in my head.
SHO Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I can mention a whole album. Leonard Cohen's Death of A Ladies' Man. Musically Cohen and Phil Spector just don't mix well, and apparently not personally either as legend says Spector pulled a gun on Cohen and forced him to leave the studio before all the vocals were even recorded. It's a real turd, though I guess some of the songs had some potential.
Artie Owl Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 Oh, I Thought of one, I grew up with, and subsequently love Great Big Sea, and if you've never heard of them they're the best irish/celtic folk/rock guys ever, but I think their newer stuff like Stumbling In was generic and bland and I wouldn't be sad if I never heard it. However I can recommend the whole albums of Up, Play, and Turn.

SGplayer1994 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 AC/DC-my favorite band in the world, but i'll tell ya, "Big Balls" is probably among one of the dumbest songs i've ever heard
Shnate McDuanus Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 One of two Rush songs, either "Superconductor" or "Neurotica." I just don't get them.
SG fan 420 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 i'll tell ya' date=' "Big Balls" is probably among one of the dumbest songs i've ever heard[/quote']Not me, I think it's hilarious[biggrin]
NeoConMan Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 "Big Balls" is probably among one of the dumbest songs i've ever heard Eh... It's meant to be dumb' date=' or funny, or whatever. [b']Money Talks[/b] wasn't supposed to be dumb, but I can't stand it.
MojoRedFoot Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I can't stand "Poor Twisted Me" by Metallica. Every song on the album "Risk" by Megadeth. That was a major stinker.
Riffster Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 As a huge Iron Maiden fan from the beginning I was never able to like "2 minutes to midnight" I think Adrian Smith wrote it, it just never did it for me. I tried.
