zigzag Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 That is so cool.. That's my buddy Hiram Bullock playing rhythm guitar beside Stevie. Y'all might remember him as the barefoot guitarist in the Letterman/Shaffer band back in the old days (original member of the worlds most dangerous band). Hiram died a year or two ago. Great guitarist and a great guy!
rockman82 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 T-Bone Walker. I stumbled across this guy a few days ago looking up B.B. King stuff. Blew my mind away O-O
FirstMeasure Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 "New" hahahhaaha "New". Here's an "Old" favorite. Now, there are songs that have influenced me more, songs I listen to more, songs that mean more to me, and songs that I actually Imitate, but there's something about this Old Tune that makes it my Favorite Blues Tune. And I'd never try to cover it.
saturn Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Yeah, Muddy is my favorite of the blues vocalists. He has such a great, natural vocal style. He doesn't "try" to sound like the blues. He is the blues. The problem I have with some of these "white kids". Johnny Lang comes to mind. IMO they're trying too hard to make themselves sound bluesy. OTOH, a guy like Greg Allman, even when he was young, has a great blues voice. Just a natural bluesy style, with no effort to sound that way.
