jchabalk Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 a picture of what you're talking about would probably be useful, i've got to say i'm confused too. I don't think there are any allen/hex bolts or screws on a Les Paul other than the truss-rod adjustment.
DaveS Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 The 2008 Standard (and maybe some others) has allen screws in the bridge and stop bar which tighten on to the posts thus preventing them from falling off and also, I think, to increase sustain.
guitarworld Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 As DaveS quite rightly states the Standard 2008 does have two locking allen grub screws on the tune-o-matic bridge and also on the stopbar tailpiece. I recieved two silver coloured allen keys with the guitar, weren't you supplied with these also, DaveS? If not you should contact your dealer or even Gibson to get them, as you will certainly need them in the future!!
