Murph Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I bought my 1933 Gibson mandolin there a few years ago, and have a habit of checking his online inventory every few days for kicks, and go there several times a year because it's only a few hours....... George and crew are pro's and I'm sure all is well, but ya still gotta wonder......
BigKahune Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Geez, hadn't even given it a thought. Hope they're okay, along with everyone else.
nickb Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 There is also a Gibson Showcase in the Opry Mills mall. And there is supposedly 5 feet of water inside of the mall, and they keep a good number of acoustics and electrics in stock. That could be bad also.
Mandoist Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Broadway (downtown) is safe...but what about the Gibson Showcase???? Is all of Opry Mills flooded? I'm guessing the entire mall's been hit.
BigKahune Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Just read report - Grand Old Opry House flooded out and damaged http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/music/sns-ap-us-severe-weather-grand-ole-opry,0,5007579.story
nickb Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 That's what was said this morning on the radio. The whole mall was flooded. Regarding the Opryhouse, it was said that the shows would more than likely be moved to The Rhyman.
KL Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Gruhns store has a lot of floors upstairs so I guess if they are worried they will take everything up there.
