heymisterk Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Any experience with these? I've noticed they have a full line of pick-ups, and are SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than their Gibson/Duncan/DiMarzio counterparts...
Riffster Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 They are very good for the money. I have a '59 Humbucker on my modified Squier 51 and it sounds like a million bucks. I played my Squier 51 at my last jam and it shined right through mix. If I was going to upgrade a budget guitar I would not look anywhere else but GFS.
tulsaslim Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Very decent pickups. A great upgrade to most Asian-made pickups. Not in the class of Gibby pickups, but half the price and better than epi pickups. One particular GFS pickup, the 'Crunchy PAT High Output' neck pickup is one of the best neck pickups I've ever heard regardless of brand name. They really hit it sweet with this particular pickup. http://store.guitarfetish.com/crpafhiouhuc.html
heymisterk Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 Thanks! I am thinking of replacing my PRS SE pickups, which I am not crazy about.
Bluemoon Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Get some pickups from Guitarforce. Tell Kevin you are a member of MLP...he would give you a smoking deal. His pickups are fantastic...custom wound to your specs.

I'm not too happy with a pair of Seymour Duncans someone had fitted to one of my guitars. If it's as good as tulsaslim says then perhaps I should check out if those things are available over here!
Notes_Norton Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 FWIW I put GFS Mean90s on my LTD/LP-clone and they sound great. Insights and incites by Notes ?
