guitarworld Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Hi forum, Anyone use a particular cloth for cleaning their guitars, and what about specific cleaning products. Any brands widely used successfully by forum members. Any info' gladly recieved.:)
guitarworld Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Are you serious? Would you clean a Les Paul with them? I wouldn't insult the Guitar!!!
swleary Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Big Bill was joking with you.. A microfiber cloth is the best thing to use.
lespaulj45 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I will probably be attacked from 400 different angles on this but I bought the Gibson Reissue Restoration Kit which comes with a nice cloth, finish creme, fretboard conditioner and metal cleaner keeps both my j45 and Les Paul Std (desert burst) looking immaculate-from time to time I also use a product named flitz to do the pickup covers-does a very nice job on all my electrics, I only use the Gibson kit on my nitro finished guitars as I am not too concerned about the poly finishes on my lesser instruments. There! I said it
guitarworld Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 SWleary so was i joking, I just don't like flowery patterned boxer shorts!! Cheers for the suggestion, I'll try it.
guitarworld Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks also lespaulj45, are these widely available? That flitz sounds good also. I'll have a look around.
